This place specializes in Mexican seafood. That is different enough to give it a couple of points in my book. Unfortunately it also smells. That costs them the points. On my last visit I found the tortillas to be small. That also cost them a point.

Drive away from this place, don't stop. My daughter and I went into Buena Visa and was ignored by two of the staff. We waited about 5 mins to be seated in an empty restaurant. Once seated, I asked for sour cream and guacamole for the chips and the waitress looked at me like I had three heads. They do not offer guacamole she informed me. I looked at the menu and the prices were high. After what seemed like days we had our ordered taken then the food came out. What a tasteless mess. If I wanted pretend Mexican food with no taste I would have made it myself. So in closing, lousy service, high priced food and no taste.

Let me preface this review by stating I was very much looking forward to this restaurant opening. My parents live near it so I saw it slowly construct into a restaurant. I love trying new Mexican restaurants. Unfortunately, this experience will give me pause in choosing to eat at a new restaurant in the future without any Yelp reviews. I was EXTREMELY disappointed in all aspects of this restaurant. First off, the decor and restaurant in general is very uninviting. It is wide open with two long rows of tables. It's hard to see because the only lighting is along the center of the restaurant in the middle of the two rows of tables. Awful design. I was more than glad to overlook this because it's all about the food. The chips were good, but the salsa was not. They didn't even have a regular pico. The service was abhorrent. I can count on four fingers the number of times our waitress came to our table: 1) Take drink orders, 2) Take food orders, 3) Bring food, 4) Bring check (after waiting for 10 minutes to flag her down). We did not get ONE refill of drinks. We were not offered more chips or salsa. It was barebones service. The food was tasteless. My rice tasted like nothing. I had to slather it with sauce to give it some sort of flavor. The beans were can-grade. The burrito had a Taco Bell sort of taste. I had the al pastor and it was actually dry and tasted old. I am not exaggerating one bit... everyone else in my party who got the burrito said the same thing. You're better off getting some tacos at one of the many taquerias in the area and taking them home and eating them.... this was just awful. Please learn from my mistake and save your money.

My girlfriend and I went last night and we were the only ones there, that should have said something. The menu was mostly in Spanish with very small English description below, but the lighting was so poor we couldn't see it, so we decided to have steak burritos (can't go wrong with that right) WRONG! It was cold, the steak were little pieces of shoe leather and the shell was crispy and just fell apart when you tried to pick it up. Bottom line been there! Done that! Won't do it again! Also, waitress took are money and never said Thank You or anything else to us she just walked away.

Great food and outstanding Margarita's! Bartender, Rosio can make some unbelievable Margaritas! Buena Vista restaurant in Zion has been here only a year. They have an extensive seafood menu. Had a couple of shrimp entrees: Camaronera Ala Diabla and Sarandiados. Excellent dishes. Quiet place. They can use more customers.

The customer service is horrible. There was no one in the restaurant but somehow the waitress was too busy talking to her co-workers. The food was ok, nothing great and it is so overpriced...

We went in late one night after Christmas shopping. Considering how long the place had been empty I think they did a fabulous job decorating. I wish it looked more holiday festive. I also hope they decide to put up some artwork soon. Otherwise it was well put together and inviting. They gave us beautiful image heavy menus ( I love it because I want to see what I'm getting into). They also brought us a four different salsas with chips. The fish salsa was so delicious. I wish I could have taken it home! I ordered a burrito dinner and a quesadilla. My friend ordered the enchilada. She liked hers. The plate was too big for her to finish. Mine was all really good. My boyfriend took a bite of my leftovers and liked it too!! The only draw back to the experience was that the music was super loud. The place has great acoustics so if they had a live band it would be fantastic but it was too loud for casual dining. The other patrons didn't mind. In fact there was a couple dancing as we were leaving. It seems like a fun place and I can't wait to go back to try the seafood!!!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
